Sofia Voynyrovska

Ukraine Child #42079 – $29 per month

There are eight people in Voynyrovskiy family. They live in three rooms (one half of a house) in a village Yurivka, not far from Kiev. Father Vitaliy is a builder and mother Nataliya stays at home with children.

Nataliya and Vitaliy are married for 18 years. For many years this couple had problems and disruption in their family life. But their Christian friends and relatives prayed for them and in 2006 this couple came to Christ, started reading the Bible, became members of the church and their relationships changed. Peace came to their house. Vitaliy graduated from Bible college recently and now he is preaching in the House of Prayer in their village.

There are six children in the family – Anastasiya, Elizaveta, Veniamin, Sofia and Tymofiy. The oldest child, Anastasia, is seventeen and the youngest, Timofiy, is only one year old.

All children are healthy and friendly. Two of them – Elizaveta and Veniamin – go to school, and the youngest -Sofia and Timofiy – stay with mom at home.

Sofia is very nice little girl, she likes drawing and playing with her dolls. She also likes helping her mother around the house.

Mercy Projects conducts a Child Sponsorship project in Ukraine to keep children at home with their mother or family members. Our goal is to keep children out of orphanages and home with family. Child Sponsorship supports the entire family and is the first step to bringing hope and health to these needy children.

The whole family attends church in the neighboring village and the House of Prayer in their own village. They asked to pray for the building of this House of Prayer (now the meetings take place in people’s home) and for peace in Ukraine.

Sponsorship of Sofia would be an encouragement and a blessing to this big Christian family. Please keep them in your prayers.
